David Thielen, CML You will become familiar
with the principles of door closers with emphasis on the selection, adjustment,
and installation procedures for non-handed (reversible) surface-mounted door
closers. In addition, you will learn about the functions, installation and
servicing of door closers, hinges, and related door hardware. The hardware
covered will be of commercial or heavy-duty grade. Other types of closers
will also be discussed as an aid in preparing for the PRP section on door
closers. Optional
Lab Fee: Students who take this class will have the option of purchasing
“Total Door Service and Repair, Volume 1 by Jake Jakubuwski for a discounted
price of $100.00 The
information presented will be useful in preparing for PRP section L-00, L-05 and
L-41. ALOA members who pay the additional $15.00 lab fee for the
test may take PRP Section L-05 at the end of the class.
